This 4 Days Lake Mburo Birding Safari takes you to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s best places for a birding safari amidst wild animals. Lake Mburo, Uganda’s smallest savannah National Park is located in Western Uganda in the Kiruhura district. The park’s diverse natural habitats such as lakes, savannah, acacia trees, wetlands, and rolling hills provide shelter to more than 310 bird recorded bird species. Among these include the acacia dwelling species, forest birds, swamp resident species, and migratory bird species.
While on your 4 Days Lake Mburo Birding Safari, you will explore Lake Mburo’s finest birding trails and be sure to be impressed at the multitude of bird encounters. The swampy valleys of Warukiri and Miriti, as well as the roadsides between Rwonyo camp and the jetty, are some of the trails you will bird through. These are ideal for bird watching in Lake Mburo National Park. There are other excellent bird-watching platforms near the salt lick and Rubanga Forest.
Besides being one of the ideal birding destinations in Uganda, this beautiful park is the only area in Uganda where Impalas can still be found and the finest place to witness large herds of Elands (Africa’s largest antelopes). Lake Mburo National Park is also one of just two Ugandan National Parks where you may go on a guided game walk and see Burchell’s Zebra. Other wildlife in the Park includes Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, and Warthogs among others.
